How it works

Pick your languages
Choose the pair you want to interpret between and tap Connect. Your dialer opens with the number ready.
Dial and talk
Place the call from the phone on your account. Samantha recognizes your number, answers, and starts interpreting.
Why a phone call
Interpretation apps ask both people to crowd around one screen. Samantha does not. It runs over the regular phone network, so it works on a weak data signal, needs nothing kept open on screen, and behaves like any other call. Put it on speaker and have a normal conversation.
What we do with your conversation
- We never store call audio. Audio is interpreted as it passes through and is then discarded.
- Transcripts are off by default. You decide, per call, whether to keep a written record. If you do, it is deleted automatically after 90 days.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking. We do not sell your data and we run no advertising.
- Delete everything whenever you want, from inside the app or from this page.

Samantha cannot call 911 or any emergency service. In an emergency, hang up and dial your emergency number directly.
Samantha is AI, and AI makes mistakes. It can mishear, mistranslate, or miss nuance. Do not use it in place of a qualified human interpreter for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical conversations, where an error could cause harm and where a certified interpreter is often required by law.

74 languages, including Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Korean, Russian, Portuguese, French, German, Japanese, Bengali, Urdu, Haitian Creole, Somali, Amharic, and Polish. The full list is in the app.
Get it
Open it in your phone’s browser and create an account. Nothing to download from an app store; it works in Chrome on Android and Safari on iPhone. Use it on the phone whose number is on your account, since calls are placed from that phone’s dialer.
Add it to your home screen
Android (Chrome): open the link, then tap Install app when the card appears, or use the Chrome menu and choose Add to Home screen.
iPhone (Safari): open the link, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
On a computer: you can sign in and buy minutes from anywhere. When you tap Connect on a computer, the app shows the number to dial; call it from the phone on your account within a few minutes.
An Android app is coming to Google Play. Your account, minutes, and call history are the same whichever way you sign in.
